Dreamy Dark Midnight Indulgence

Blue or any shades of blue are my favorite color and I was in love when i ended up with this amazing drink on weekend. The journey for the creation of this drink is amazing. Saturday evening, there was a solid urge for an amazing and zingy drink, but being short of alcohol in my house I was not sure of what to make. So as always I turned towards Pinterest for help and came across purple drink which looks amazing and the note for the recipe says – use blue curacao as per the choice of the color you desire. I checked for the ingredients and found everything in my kitchen. Though the name and  color of the drink on pinterest says Purple, but I wanted to have something a bit more dark in color so I came up with this – Midnight Blue Martini.

I kept tasting it in between, as i don’t want to spoil the taste of it while achieving the desired color. So make sure you too taste in between as none of want to blue curacao or pomegranate juice to overpower our lovely vodka.

Midnight Blue Martini

1 1/2 parts vodka
1 1/4 part blue curacao
1 part pomegranate juice
1 part pineapple juice
1 lemon
Ice cubes
salt for garnish

Wet the outside rim of the glass with a fresh lemon wedge and dab the rim into the salt  while slowly turning the glass and than place the decorated glass in the fridge to get chilled.

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and add all the liquid ingredient to it and shake it like a pro.

Strain it in the decorated chilled glass slowly and squeeze a wedge of lemon from top.

Serve chilled and Enjoy.

Note: vary the quantity of blue curacao to get the desired color of your choice.
